tkprof advise

I have read the post on using the tkprof but was wondering if there is anyway of being more specific about running against certain jobs.
My problem is we run lots of batch work overnight and need to run tkprof against a single job which runs early hours of the mroning, i need to simulate the environment of jobs running around it to determine what is required to tune this particular program.
I would normally run tkprof on a test environment and specify the running process but cannot do this method without a very early morning rise.

Can this be scripted around a particular scheduled job whether unix script/ sql or reports and how do you identify the corect trace file ?
Don't want to just switch tkprof on and then off again next morning as it could have performance hits on the rest of the batch work and also create alot of trace files.
